OUR PROCESS FOR UPHOLSTERY CLEANING
STEP 1 - PREPARATION AND FABRIC TEST
We prepare the area for cleaning by laying out dust sheets and moving surrounding furniture.
All fabrics are tested for colour fastness and inspect the fabric condition to ensure that it will respond to the cleaning.
STEP 2 - VACUUMING
A thorough vacuuming of the upholstery is carried out using a high filtration powerful vacuum cleaner.
STEP 3 - STAIN REMOVAL
Stains are usually treated with special stain treatment solutions; if you are able to help by identifying what the actual stain is that will greatly increase the chances of successfully removing all stains.
STEP 4 - PRE-SPRAY AGITATION
Using a low-pressure sprayer the upholstery is treated with a pre-spray solution; this will break down the soiled particles in the fibres and removes any grease or oils adhered to the fibres.
The cleaning solution is carefully worked into the fabric, ensuring the most amount of dirt possible is released and subsequently removed.
We can achieve this using a specially designed brush, by working the solution from 4 different directions.
With more delicate constructions, we employ sponges and soft bristled brushes to gently groom the face fibre and allow a gentle cleaning action.
STEP 5 - THE UPHOLSTERY CLEANING & RINSING PROCESSES
We now use our powerful hot water extraction units to extract the soil from the upholstery.
This works by first injecting an antibacterial deodoriser into the fabric at high pressure.
This dislodges any remaining soil from the surface of the fibre while killing any germs that are present.
The injection step is followed by extraction of the dirty solution using a high vacuum volume to leave the item as dry as possible and odour free.
STEP 6 - GROOMING AND FINISHES
We complete our work by grooming the face fibre to ensure the best visual finish possible. This leaves the upholstery looking fresh and restored, but most importantly clean!
STEP 7 - TURBO DRYING
Through the long summer days, the environment plays a big part in the drying process of your upholstery but, as the days draw in and it's getting cold outside drying time is critical.
This is where turbo dryers are put into operation located in the best position to enhance the drying process which in most cases allows you to use the furniture that same day.

We had a tricky coffee stain on a sisal carpet. Before he arrived, Charl explained that it would be difficult to completely remove this stain but we were happy for FSCC do their thing.
Charl tried several methods to remove the stain and we were happy that the end result was the best that could be achieved. Friendly, efficient and fairly priced service would certainly recommend it.
